Madera County Supervisors Present Special Proclamation to Resident Who Set a Guinness World Record on All Seven Continents

Madera County, CA - The Madera County Board of Supervisors presents a special proclamation in honor of Christian Johnson, who set a Guinness World Record by running a 50K a day for 7 straight days on all 7 continents. That’s more than 217 miles in all. The proclamation will also honor Christian’s mission that sparked this unprecedented journey. Christian joined forces with the Michael J. Fox Foundation to bring awareness to the ongoing battle to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Christian’s grandfather has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, but it didn’t keep him from greeting Christian at the final finish line in Miami to set the record. Christian’s story has not only captivated the Central Valley but has also impacted many around the world. The public and members of the media are encouraged to attend this special presentation on Tuesday at 10 A.M. inside the Chambers of the Madera County Government Center.
