We will be closed Saturday, July 18th. Join us for a Heat Safety Awareness Event at the Madera County Public Health Department, 1604 Sunrise Ave, Madera, CA 93638, from 9am to 1pm. 

Personal Spay/Neuter: Walk-in Monday through Thursday, 10 am. to 3 pm., first come, first served. Pet must be present to schedule an appointment. Price is based on the pet’s weight.

Field Services

Response times to requests for field services may be longer than normal. Please allow up to 72 hours for approved stray dog pickups. Call during business hours for information about stray dog pickups or other animal services reports.

We do not accept or pick up stray cats unless they are sick or injured. Ask about our Trap, Neuter, Return program.

All lost and found pet reports received by Madera County Animal Services are posted on the Madera Animal Shelter Lost and Found Facebook page .
