Due to recent guidelines to safeguard our community and employees from COVID-19, we will not be scheduling any civil ceremonies until further notice. All existing ceremonies will be kept, but will be limited to 1-2 guests.
Wedding ceremonies are performed at the County Clerk's office on regular business days, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The room accommodates 20 guests. Appointments are required. The fee for the ceremony is $25.
A marriage license must be obtained at least one business day prior to the ceremony, if purchasing from Madera County. Same-day/Walk-in ceremonies cannot be accommodated. Madera County issues marriage licenses on regular business days from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a $50-55 fee. The fees are payable in cash or debit/credit (add'l fees).
Please be advised that couples must arrange to have one witness in attendance at the wedding.
Spanish language ceremonies are available upon request.
