The Madera Oversight Coalition(MOC) having recovered money from previous litigation they were involved in chose to put the money towards Oakhurst Branch Library's goals. MOC Treasure William Whitehead said "It is a pleasure for MOC to make this donation to the Oakhurst Library. After all, we've been using their facilities for our meetings for the past 15 years."
These funds will be used by the Oakhurst Branch Library to purchase 15 Chromebooks and 15 Smart Spots (CIPA Compliant Hot Spots) to be lent out to community students from grade school to college, increasing the library's DVD collection, improve signage inside the library and a couple A-Frame signs to better advertise library events.
