Roadmap to Reopening

The California Roadmap to Reopening is Governor Newsom's four stage plan to protect public safety while allowing business & services to resume. Madera County is currently in later stage 2 (2.5).  (For further detail on Madera-specific stages: English | Spanish)

Now We Can Do More!  

Places of worship, salons & barbershops are state approved for modified reopening, as well as all retail.  In later stage 2 (2.5), dine-in restaurants open with modifications, along with offices and limited services.  School openings will be determined by local districts at a later date.

Actions taken to move Madera County from beginning stage 2 to later stage 2 (2.5)

Madera County met criteria set forth by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to move to later stage 2 (2.5).  The readiness criteria were:
