Live Scan Fingerprinting Appointments Available:    Monday through Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.

The Sheriff's Office offers Live Scan services at the main office and at the Oakhurst Substation by appointment only.  The cost for Live Scan fingerprints is $8.00 for the Sheriff's Office fee plus the fee charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI.  The DOJ and FBI fee vary depending on the reason for the Live Scan.  Information regarding these fees can be found here.  Fees are due at the time the services are rendered and can be paid by cash or check made payable to the Madera County Sheriff's Office.  

Please call 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make your appointment or no longer need the appointment. 

Live Scan Service Documentation Required

• Valid Picture ID: Valid Id includes CA Drivers License, CA Identification Card, Military ID, Passport ID, Alien Work Permit or Out of State Drivers License and or Identification Card.  High School ID Cards are allowed if you are currently in high school.  Receipts for an ID Card or Driver’s License from the DMV are not valid identification.  Marticulor de Consular cards are also not considered valid photo identification.

• Live Scan Form: This form is provided to you by the agency wanting you to do the Live Scan.  If you need the Live Scan for a Record Review for your own information or a blank Live Scan Form, Follow the link to the Office of Attorney General, Department Of Justice: caag.state.ca.us/fingerprints

Ink Fingerprinting

Hours of Service for Ink Fingerprinting:    Monday through Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. 

There is no appointment needed for Ink Fingerprinting.  There is an $8 rolling fee per card payable by cash to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.  Valid picture ID is required at time of service.
