Thank you for visiting the official website of the Madera County Treasurer-Tax Collector. Our office is responsible for receiving, safeguarding, distributing, and investing funds on behalf of the County, School Districts, and Special Districts.
We manage the collection of several types of property taxes, including:

Secured Property Taxes

Unsecured Property Taxes

Supplemental Property Taxes
In addition, our office is responsible for:

Collecting Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT) from hotels, motels, and Short-term rentals

Administering Business Improvement District (BID) taxes

Preparing and collecting the business license renewal

Conducting the annual public auction of tax-defaulted properties that have been in default for five years or more
We are committed to serving the residents and businesses of Madera County with integrity, transparency, and efficiency.
The first installment is due on November 1 and delinquent if paid after December 10. The 2nd installment is due on February 1 of the following year and delinquent after April 10.
Unsecured Tax Bills were due September 2, 2025 and are now past due.
Please contact our office for information about payment plan arrangements.
Cycle 1: Amount due end of February $104. Amount due end of March $144. Cycle 2: Amount due end of August $59. Amount due end of September $99.
We would like you to understand that this bill does not get sent to your mortgage company as it is a separate bill therefore it is your responsibility to make a payment.
